Wisconsin River Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-6, 2010
We plan to paddle the Wisconsin River Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-6, 2010. We will be camping out of our canoes, on sandbars for three days and two nights. We will need to carry all necessary gear, food and water for that period of time. (No glass is allowed on the Wisconsin River).
Directions from Chicago: Follow I-90 (N/W Tollway) north to Madison. Get off at the exit for US 12 & 18 west. Follow 18 to Dodgeville. In Dodgeville pick up SR 23 north to SR 130 north. Follow SR 130 until it turns into SR 133 west. Follow SR 133 into Muscoda. Turn right (north) and proceed thru town to Victoria Park, which is located along the river, just before the bridge.
We will meet at the Muscoda boat launch in Victoria Park at 9:00 AM Saturday morning. Bring your swim suits.
