Date: June 17-19, 2016 Leader: John Chase Location: Marge Cline Riverside Park, Yorkville Skill Level: Intermediate Category: Instruction The ACA L1/2 River Kayaking Instructor Update is a hands-on learning opportunity where you will interact with real students in an ICW under the guidance of an Instructor Trainer. In this update, you will refine your teaching skills while learning new methods to improve your abilities as an instructor.
Participants in this session will be required to attend one day of the ICW event. You can select from June 17, June 18, and June 19. Expect each day to run from 8 am to approximately 5 pm.
All ACA certified instructors must complete an Instructor Update program every four years.
Pricing: $135 per participant
Participants will need to bring their own boat, paddle, PFD, snacks, lunch, and all personal items. Instructors will contact participants prior to the event with teaching assignments, study materials and special instructions or equipment needs.
