PSC Spring Potluck and Meeting

Details: Potluck at 12:00 pm...Meeting at 1:00 PM. Come join us for a potluck lunch...then we can learn about the health of our rivers in DuPage County! 

Have you ever wondered about the health and ecology of our LOCAL Rivers? Curious about the impacts of lawn chemicals/fertilizer runoff? What about winter road treatments of salt, etc? What are other impacts? Who is watching this?  Who is collecting  information? Interpreting the data? Providing it for others to review and take action?  The River Prairie Group is the local section of the Sierra Club made up of volunteer members in the greater DuPage County area who collected over a decade of information to compile a report in 2012…known as ‘As the River Flows’.  

Members of the organization will share what they experienced while participating in this project and explain what this group is all about. Here is your opportunity to really start looking into…understanding…how our daily lives can impact the water resources around us.
