7-28-17 High water update

Water on the Kiswaukee River is still running too high/fast to paddle safely -- so the paddling portion of the PaddleFest has been cancelled.

However, the Fest portion is still going to happen with live music from 1:00-8:00 (3 bands), foods and cold drinks!

meet at Kishwaukee Paddle Fest (6802 42nd St. Rockford, IL) at 8:30 am so we can get our boats and gear on the 9:00 am shuttle to Baumann Park. We will paddle downstream to the Paddle Fest and hopefully catch the live music. There are additional shuttles at 10:30, noon and 2:00.

There will be food and drink at the event so be sure to bring a chair and enjoy the 3 bands who will be performing. I believe you can camp out on Friday and Saturday night, if you want. Keep an eye on the Kishwaukee Paddlefest facebook page for more details as they develop.

Note: the Kishwaukee Paddle Fest is not a PSC-run event but there will be plenty of PSC members there.
