Date: Sunday, August 27, 2017 Leader: Sherri Graham Location: Hidden Lake, Downers Grove, IL Skill Level: Beginner Category: Instruction This is the first in our PSC Training Series, Introduction to Paddling for Canoe. It will be held at Hidden Lake FP in Lisle/Downers Grove. This ACA course will teach you the basics of paddling your canoe. Some paddling strokes you will learn include: fwd, rev, stop, spin (pivot), sideways (abeam), turning and many other skills to paddle your craft skillfully on calm protected waters.
Pricing: PSC Member: Early bird registration: $15 (if registered by July 27) Regular pricing: $20 (after July 27)
Non-PSC Member: Early bird registration: $35 (if registered by July 27) Regular pricing: $40 (after July 27)
Participants will need to bring their own boat, paddle, PFD, snacks, lunch, and all personal items. Instructors will contact participants prior to the event with special instructions or equipment needs.
Registration will close on August 24 at Midnight.
