Details: This trip is designed to be an extension to the Michigan Paddler Rendezvous held September 27-30 on the Pine River and as a precursor to the Michigan Fall Colors Trip, October 6-14. If you are interested in either of those trips make sure you sign up for them separately, as they are being led by different paddlers. For the Au Sable portion we will be camped at Hartwick Pines State Park. These are the river sections: Tuesday: South Branch of the Au Sable, Chase Bridge to Smith Bridge (10 miles). Wednesday: Au Sable, Burton's Landing to Wakeley Bridge (9 miles). Thursday: Au Sable, McMasters Bridge to Whirlpool Access (11 miles).
