This is the first in the PSC Training Series, Introduction to Paddling for Canoe. This ACA curriculum will teach you the basics of paddling your canoe. Some paddling strokes you will learn include: fwd, rev, stop, spin (pivot), sideways (abeam), turning and many other skills to paddle your craft skillfully on calm protected waters.
There will be a coached trip (free of charge) on May 9th. Students are encouraged to attend, to practice the skills they learned in Introduction to Paddling. In the event that Intro must be postponed, May 9th will be the new date for the class.
Pricing:
Early bird registration: $15 for PSC members, $35 for non-members (if registered by February 29)
Regular pricing: $20 for PSC members, $40 for non-PSC members (between March 1 and April 30)
Participants will need to bring their own boat, paddle, PFD, snacks, lunch, and all personal items. Instructors will contact participants prior to the event with special instructions or equipment needs.
(A limited number of canoes, paddles and/or life jackets may be available to anyone who wishes to take this class but does not have his own boat or gear.

ACA membership is required for participation. You will be asked to purchase a $5 one-day membership or supply your ACA member number at checkout.
