Entrance on Route 53, ΒΌ mile south of Butterfield Rd. in Downers Grove. A light lunch of individually wrapped sandwiches, snacks and bottled water will be provided by the club starting around 1:00 pm. Bring a side dish to share. We also encourage members to bring a personal picnic basket for your evening meal, should you want to stay later to enjoy a moonlight paddle.
Our DuPage County special-use permit will allow club members and guests to put a boat on the water the day of the picnic without the need for a boat permit.

A variety of activities will be held: try-a-boat, gear swap, LNT demos, lawn games, tips from our paddle instructors and more.
