Details: Part 1 of PSC’s Intro to Kayak class will be held at the Naperville North High School (NNHS)Pool on Sunday, March 20, 2022
2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
A pool fee of $15 needs to be paid in cash to the High School on the day of the class. Please bring exact change. Normally such fees are paid when you register. However, since we need to pay in cash, it was decided to handle this outside of our normal process.
Students will learn and practice the Wet Exit in the warmth of an indoor pool instead of a cold lake. There will also be presentations on various topics, such as paddling gear, hyperthermia, by various experienced boaters. We will demonstrate and practice some rescue techniques appropriate to rivers and lakes.
Since this is a two-part class, you will also need to sign up for the May 7 Intro to Kayak class. In order to be able to take Moving Water 1, you will need to attend both the March 20 & May 7 sessions.

If you are bringing your own boat, it must be completely free of leaves, dirt, etc. before entering the pool.
Participants must wear a properly fitted PFD.
