Details:  A “Quick-n-Easy” Saturday Float on the Des Plaines

We’ll start at Oak Springs Road and paddle to Route 60 to take out. The Des Plaines is floatable and scenic through here, but is sluggish, so we’ll do the 5 miles only, then eat lunch. Directions: Use Saint Mary’s Road south from Route 137 (which is west of I-94), Oak Springs Road goes west from Saint Mary’s. Meet at 9:00 AM. Bring lunch, at least a liter of drinking water—and a change of clothes in a waterproof bag if you want to. Contact the leader with questions: Bill Kessler, kslr@aol.com, 773-559-3855.
