Details: Rope-handling and knot-tying are an essential part of a paddler’s repertoire of skills. Knots are used in every situation, from tying painters to the ends of your boat to securing your boat to your car, and they are used in all manner of river rescue situations.
This interactive class will provide hands-on opportunity to learn and practice some essential and useful knots:
Overhand knots
Figure 8—Stopper, On a Bight, Follow Through, Directional
Butterfly Knot, Bowline
Double Fisherman, Prusik Hitch
Clove Hitch, Highwaymans Hitch, Truckers Hitch
Voodoo (Transport Hitch), Tautline Hitch
Water Knot
