Meet old friends, make new friends, reminisce on the highlights of your outings. Recognition of outstanding members, a short business meeting and election will make way for our featured speaker. Can we paddle most of the rivers in Illinois, or only a few? Scott Hays brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to that discussion. Scott is the current president of the Illinois Paddling Council (IPC). He brings first-hand knowledge of Illinois Rivers and the challenges to our paddling experience. Scott has been an avid tandem canoe paddler all of his life from his earliest years growing up in Florida near North Jacksonville’s tidal Broward River and paddling and camping on Florida’s Suwanee River and in Southeast Georgia’s Okefenokee Swamp. His presentation will be laced with lessons learned and steps to be taken here in Illinois.
