It was lucky that we found out in plenty of time that we needed to change the location from a flooded DesPlaines to the Lagoon.  We were lucky that all expected found the location on time.  We were lucky to see the following: great egret, osprey, great blue heron, green heron, yellow crowned night heron, downy woodpeckers, read belly woodpeckers, cormorants, mallards, an eagle, a doe and a buck.  Finally we lucked out on the weather by ending the trip 15 minutes before a downpour.
