It was a beautiful late winter/early spring Sunday (the 19th) to paddle on the South Kishwaukee.  7 people (3 canoes/4 kayaks) did the 5 1/2 miles paddle.  Water level was almost perfect, no wind and lots of sun.  Temps started in the 30s but rose into the 40s quickly.  We saw the usual geese, heard some Sandhill cranes and saw a cute brown mink scurry across the bank.
